3rd Act AI

About 3rd Act AI

One story.
Every stage.

An app for the full journey of film and theatre production—from the first spark of an idea to the moment an audience experiences it.

A production company brings together writers, directors, performers, designers, technicians and producers. 3rd Act AI is being developed to help those teams carry a shared creative vision through writing, planning, rehearsal, production and delivery.

Our vision · Coming soon

01 / STAGE

Theatre: from the first draft
to the final curtain.

Keep the script, creative decisions and technical preparation connected as a production takes shape.

  1. Write & develop the script

Explore a premise, shape characters and scenes, and develop dialogue. Use AI to work through alternatives while the writer keeps control of the story and voice.

  2. Revise together

Bring rehearsal feedback into the next draft. Track versions and changes so the director, cast and production team can see what has changed and work from the same script.

  3. Annotate light, sound & staging

Connect lighting states, sound cues, blocking notes and scene transitions to the moments they support. Carry those annotations into technical rehearsals and cue preparation.

  4. Prepare supertitles

Draft, translate and segment supertitles alongside the script. Review wording, readability and timing with the creative team, keeping titles aligned as dialogue changes.

  5. Plan rehearsals & production

Turn scenes and production needs into rehearsal priorities, schedules, prop and costume lists, and department tasks. Make handoffs clearer and reduce repeated manual updates.

  6. Bring the show to its audience

Prepare performance materials, capture notes after each run, and preserve the production's creative and technical record for a future revival or tour.

02 / SCREEN

Film: from a concept
to a moving picture.

Develop, visualize and test the story before committing to a full production.

  1. Shape the concept

Develop a logline, treatment, characters and story structure. Explore narrative directions and turn the strongest idea into a screenplay.

  2. Build the storyboard

Translate scenes into a visual sequence. Explore framing, shot choices and pacing, then refine the boards with the director and cinematographer.

  3. Create a prototype trailer

Bring storyboards and approved assets into an early trailer or animatic. Experiment with mood, sound and editing rhythm to communicate the concept to collaborators and potential partners.

  4. Prototype the film

Test scenes or a rough sequence using generated or existing material. Evaluate story flow and visual continuity before a shoot, with a clear distinction between a prototype and finished footage.

  5. Prepare & produce

Break the script into practical needs: cast, locations, props, shots and schedules. Keep department notes and creative revisions connected as the team moves into production.

  6. Refine & deliver

Organize edit feedback, sound and music notes, subtitles and delivery tasks. Help the team carry the original intent through post-production and into the finished film.

The people behind the production

Less chasing changes.
More making stories.

The aim is to reduce the friction between departments: fewer disconnected documents, clearer revisions and a more continuous path from creative decisions to production work. AI supports exploration and preparation; the creative team makes the decisions.

These workflows describe the direction of the app. 3rd Act AI is coming soon.
